What we do

ClearTab Japan is an English guide for visitors and business hosts who want to enjoy a hostess club or lounge in Japan without surprises on the bill. We explain how the bill is put together, help you estimate the total, and show you how to plan a client evening in Ginza or Kitashinchi.

If you want help choosing a venue, our team replies on WhatsApp in English, Chinese, Korean or Japanese. The help is free for you. We do not operate any venue.

Editorial policy

Where our information comes from

Our guides are written from published information and from what we learn when arranging visits. Contact details for police, hotlines and other services are taken from official sources and checked on the date shown on each guide.

Prices are estimates

Figures on this site are examples, not quotes. The final bill depends on the venue, the time, nominations, drinks and the service charge, and is set by the venue. The bill estimator calculates only from the numbers you enter.

Updates and corrections

We update a guide when prices or rules change, and each guide shows the date it was last updated. If you find something out of date or wrong, please email us and we will correct it.

Areas and languages

We cover Tokyo (Ginza, Roppongi, Shinjuku, Akasaka and other districts), Osaka (Kitashinchi, Namba) and other major cities on request. Our guides are in English. Our WhatsApp help is available in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
